Hi, Can I cash a United States Postal Service International Postal Money Order in the UK? Thanks?

Yes, they are acceptable worldwide as long ago we used to send them overseas.

I would think that your UK bank would accept it and then convert it according to the current $$ to British Sterling Pounds conversion rate. Our oldest son lives %26amp; works in London UK and occasionally we will send him a CERTIFIED CASHIER's CHECK we have drawn from BANK OF AMERICA.

In turn if he sends his younger brother %26amp; sister, UK checks for Christmas and their birthdays, we will cash or deposit them at Bank of America as we found out that our credit union will not accept them.

Hope the Above Info Helps!Hi, Can I cash a United States Postal Service International Postal Money Order in the UK? Thanks?
If it's an International Postal Money Order, what currency is it in?

If it's been drawn in GB Pound Sterling it will have been drawn against a UK bank so can be treated like a UK bankers cheque.

If it's drawn in US dollars it's not *strictly* an IMO per se in anything as it's probably drawn against a US bank. Your bank may be able to buy it from you but there'll be a charge and you'll get an exchange rate intended to be beneficial to the bank (their US$ buying rates).Hi, Can I cash a United States Postal Service International Postal Money Order in the UK?
