International mailing question?

I'm in America and I'm trying to mail a parcel to a friend in Wales. According to the US postal service, the address has to have the name of the country last, but the address she gave me ends like this:

Wales

CF38 1LH

with those lettery numbery things on the last line, after the 'Wales'. Can I send it like that? Should I switch the two lines(probably not, I would assume), or does there need to be something additional at the end, a 'UK' maybe?

This is undoubtedly a stupid question, but can someone help me out? I am both ignorant and American, not the best combination, and I really have no clue. :)International mailing question?
The last line should be the name of the destination country (whatever the USPS officially calls Britain - whether it's the United Kingdom, or Great Britain, or something else (the USPS has a bit of a reputation for being finicky about this - it almost certainly will not officially recognise "Wales", and might send it to New South Wales, Australia instead!)).

According to the Royal Mail postcode finder, CF38 1LH is one of nine properties in Tonteg, near Pontypridd, so you should address the parcel as:

1, 2, or 3 (as appropriate) Tavern Y Coed

Tonteg

PONTYPRIDD

CF38 1LH

United Kingdom

or

%26lt;property name%26gt; (if it's one of the other 6 places)

Tavern Y Coed

Tonteg

PONTYPRIDD

CF38 1LH

United Kingdom.

Personally, as a Welsh-speaker, I'd spell "Tavern y Coed" with a lower-case "y", but Royal Mail seems to insist on upper case. Anyway the name's been partly anglicised in any case - if it was really in Welsh it would be "Tafarn y Coed" (the inn in the woods).

Don't forget to put enough stamps on it! :)
I would put it on there just like she told you to. It may not mean anything here, but in Wales it probably means something very important. I'm sure the USPS will just overlook it since it's international, and when it gets to Wales it'll have the right stuff on it.International mailing question?
these lottery numbers are called a post code, like a zip code. looking at the post code i guess it's cardiff. it should read,

cardiff

cf38 1lh

wales

uk
Beneath the postal code write United Kingdom or simply U.K. The address would read like this

Name of person

Street address

Name of city/town

Wales

CF38 1LH

U.K. (or United Kingdom)International mailing question?
it's definately pontypridd (tonteg) , just put the house number and the post code it'll get there. They share cardiff's postal code. what is it drugs?

I would send it like this :

name of person,

number of house/flat and street name

Tonteg

Pontypridd

cf38 1lh

wales

uk.
